I stumbled onto the music of Kevin Morby on YouTube about six weeks ago. I've listened to a LOT of music over the years and I'm not easily impressed, but Kevin's "Harlem River" album grabbed a hold of my ears and hasn't let go. I've also been listening to his brand new album, "Still Life". It hasn't grabbed my ears quite the way its' predecessor did, but it's growing on me. Kevin is only 26, but he must have grown up listening to grandma and grandpa's Bob Dylan and Lou Reed albums, judging by the sound of his own albums. I love melody and Kevin brings the goods. He also has a nice way with words. I would love to see Kevin on the MCR stage, both singing and being interviewed by Craig H. You can preview Kevin's albums here: Kevin Morby ~ "Harlem River" (2013) - Full Album (This is the one that really knocked me off my feet.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVF_OpesJ1oKevin Morby ~ "Still Life" (2014) - Full Album (I've just started listening to this one.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwiWQ_Mqzd8If you like what you hear, I hope you'll consider purchasing these albums and supporting this talented young musician's budding career. I've done some listening to this group, they really remind me of a modern version of the Turtles! The vocals sure do! But so far I do like them....

Here's a cool new video of the über-talented Kevin Morby with his band in the Netherlands. www.vpro.nl/speel.WO_VPRO_862384.htmlThis is the shortest I've seen Kevin's hair and I think it looks great.

Brand new video from Kevin Morby from his latest album, "Still Life". "Parade" www.stereogum.com/1804627/kevin-morby-parade-video-stereogum-premiere/video/"As director Elise Tyler explains, her visual accompaniment functions as a documentary of Morby’s version of NYC: "The process was a complete collaboration with Kevin. He wanted to document the people and places that make up his New York, and I had the honor to capture it for him. I wanted to feature the quieter places and moments that can sometimes get lost in the noise of the city, which I think also reflects Kevin’s nature as an artist and individual."" Kevin's first solo album, "Harlem River", was inspired by his experiences as a young musician in New York City.

Cali That Baby Face Kid is Quite Talented and Yes he does need to be on MCR! Cali I am not sure what made me want to ask you such a emotionally trying question, I guess it's the Moose Family influence on me and I hope it does not trigger any (ROEPT) type symptoms ! Cali if you had to Pick a Favorite between Baby Face Kevin Morby and a Young Jim Lauderdale with a electric guitar which one would you pick? Young Jim Lauderdale with a electric guitar linkLizzy

Young Jim Lauderdale with a electric guitar linkLizzy Lizzy, that's actually a no-brainer for me -- I'd choose Jim (with either electric or acoustic guitar) in a heart beat. Kevin is a newcomer (and half my age) who is off to a really promising start, while I've been a huge fan of Jim (who is close to my age) for over twenty years. I have loved every album that Jim has put out and his music continues to stay awesome. I think it would be really great if Jim and Kevin would get together and write some songs -- I predict the results would be spectacular.
