Would love to see the South Carolina Broadcasters on MCR, they do the old-time single mike trio better than anyone I've ever seen...here's a clip of them performing at my church in February.

Yes!! This group had me at the clawhammer banjo!! Great stuff and I would love to see them on MCR's stage too. You are correct Cali, I also hear shape note singing. I wanted to take Cassidy to some workshops to learn that when she was younger, but it never panned out. Our clogging schedule was heavy in those days and we were always booked when something like this came up. I was never taught it either, but I have been in the midst of it many a time and it was always so beautiful to hear.

Definitely some shape note influence; their latest album "Diamond in the Rough" is an all gospel set, which is one reason why they played a gospel show at the church for us. click through to my Youtube channel and there are a half dozen more clips from that show, or search for others, there are plenty out there... their last two albums are on Spotify, too.
