Along with noteworthy up and coming talent, MCR likes to be a place for the legends to come home to. The late Cowboy Jack and Charlie Louvin were great examples. Who would you like to see?

Well, mcrjohn, since you asked........ .....I would LOVE it if you at MCR would consider bringing Canadian guitarist Rik Emmett to the MCR stage one day. I don't know if you are familiar with him, but he has been a big influence on both Cloggercass and myself. In the days of "big hair" rock (now classic rock, ha ha) he was the front man for a Canadian band called Triumph. However, he left that format and got involved in many, many other styles of guitar playing. He has put out albums in Jazz, (Won Juno awards for it I believe..Canadian awards like our Grammys I think), fingerstyle, Latin, acoustic..etc... Today he still performs all around Canada and the eastern US and TX. He often performs with his sideman Dave Dunlop who is an equally talented guitarist in his own right. Here are a couple videos of his recent work: Video 1Video 2So, please consider this well deserved guitarist for your stage! He is a legend like many of those you mentioned. I think many folks who are my age may well remember him and wonder what he is doing today. Check him out on YouTube or his webiste: rikemmett.com/He books thru his agent, Rick Wharton and you can find his info at the bottom of Rik's contact page at his website. Ok...well, you asked. ha ha Moose

I'd like to see Guy Clark with maybe Verlon Thompson. Some of my favourite songs that he wrote are "Desperados Waiting For A Train", "Dublin Blues", "The Cape" and "The Guitar". I'd love to one day maybe meet Guy in person and to get a chance to jam with him. He is a living legend that due to poor health, I'm afraid may not be around for too much longer. Here are a couple of samples of Guy for those that may not have heard him before... youtu.be/dFb1lGMvS3I and youtu.be/iHxOego2Sso

Loretta Lynn would be great. She just released a new album.
Joe Ely would also be great.

Has Wanda Jackson been on MCR? I don't think she has been, unless it was during MCR's first year or two. Hey, old timer Pirates, do any of you remember?
