cali, tony is from portland. Knot, that explains why I hear/read his name a lot. I really should pay more attention to the Portland music scene. Have you heard of Portland musicians Lewi Longmire, Anita Lee Elliott, and David Jacobs-Strain? Lewi and Anita opened for Jim L. at last Friday's Alberta Rose Theatre show, and later in Jim's set, he brought out David to play slide guitar on "Throw My Bucket Down". Then he brought Lewi and Anita back out to play, along with David, on another song. Very nice! Cali |

Knot, I've heard of Kelly Jo Phelps but I had no idea that he's from Portland. How cool!
I, also, remember David Jacobs-Strain being on MCR twice. In fact, that's where I first heard of him. I'm really out of touch with the Oregon music scene, which is sad.
Jim L. may be returning to Portland in April, after one of his new albums, "I'm a Song", comes out (March 25). I've already started saving up my nickels and dimes......

Knot, would that be this Thursday, Feb. 20? Tony is playing Corvallis on Saturday, Feb. 22. I can't wait! I went to the Majestic Theatre today to get tickets but the box office was closed, so I'll get tix by phone tomorrow. Thanks for turning me on to Tony -- he's awesome!! Cali P.S.
