I like it- That jag rocks in gray with the blue ice pickguard. Now, tear it up and we'll all say we knew you when....

Art, that makes sense. The light threw some blue tint on the pickguard. It looks great and would take stage lighting well too. And happy belated birthday as I was away yesterday! Rock on, my friend.

Yeah, I notice Clapton's changes color from light grey to black depending on the lighting angles. I had them make this with the black pearl because I didn't think white would look good with all that chrome (or nickle plating.) Also told them that I didn't want any bridge issues so they installed the buzz stop. The team at Fender Custom Shop did some awesome work with this. The finishing on the frets is perfect! Although I should have spec'd a satin neck I kept it at the '62 vintage specs. Oh and it can really rock with the Twin Reverb and the Deluxe. Really any amp but tube power really rocks! Jeff Rocks! Art, about the satin neck ....are you talking about the finish? Have you ever heard of having the neck done as a "speed neck". I've heard banjo players talk about it in custom banjo touches.

I've heard of it. My Jaguar Classic Player has the satin finish on the neck and my american Special Strat have it. The 62 Jag and the 50th anniversary Jag have the glossy Laquer. It's only satin on the back side of the Strat - the fingerboard is glossy. the Jags are all rosewood fingerboards. Really my favorite. Art

Art I should say that on a hot and humid day, laquer finish is really a pain from sweaty palms. I would "rough up" the glossy finish on the back of the neck but it would ruin the collectability of the 62 and anniversary models.

Oh, I'm sure it would toast the collectability!

Oh, I'm sure it would toast the collectability! I have plans for all these after I am toast (a long time from now)but I can't seem to make a will. That just seems too much like giving up. Although my influences are varied, I never would have enjoyed the classics, even some Opera (it really isn't bad live...,) had it not been for many years of choir in school. Especially high school. Our music department was, and is, awesome. Of course, due to budget cuts, it is supported mainly by alumni. So that would be a good home for the non-collectables. Still undecided on the collectible items. I have another 20 -30 years to decide though. Arrrrrrrrr! Mrs. Moose Rocks! Art Oh! And I never took lessons on any instrument other than voice. I might get around to it someday...
