Wednesday Night on MCR Honey Island Swamp Band,Gnarly Parkers, Jake Shimabukuro, Trace Adkins, Vince Gill, Willie Weeks, Mac McAnally, Thomm Jutz, Billy Thomas & many more superstar guests! MCR Wednesday Night Show will be on at the same time as Liz Longley ConcertWindow.com Show!
Lizzy is now suffering from a new (Lizzy Betraying Liz Longley Emotional and Psychological Trauma ) Not Watching Liz Longley this Wednesday has only made my (Betraying Kirsty Lee Akers Emotional and Psychological Trauma ) to resurface only to cause my (No more House of Blues in LA Emotional and Psychological Trauma ) that I have been dealing with lately much harder to cope with! that has only caused my Roy Orbison Emotional and Psychological Trauma start to resurface again! At this Very Emotional time for Lizzy my only hope is that all this Emotional and Psychological Trauma does not cause my Teen traumatic dark Past to resurface that I experienced as a Little Lizzy when I was suffering from, (Mick Fleetwood & Fleetwood Mac Fear of Driving Emotional and Psychological Trauma ) Cali Do you think LVS Therapy would help me? Moose are there any Self-Help Books you have read you think I should read that would help me? Nelson how do Canadians Deal With Emotional and Psychological Trauma ? Lizzy P.S. Clogger!

Lizzy,
Listen to me! Sit down RIGHT NOW and breathe into a paper bag until you feel calm. There, that's better.....
As Chef Dave reminded me recently, sometimes we have to make hard choices. I was flipping out because the Mavericks are going to be on a special night for MCR, Thursday, Sep. 17. I'll be taking LVS to Eugene that day for a doctor's appointment. OH NO!! I love the Mavericks! But LVS must get her necessary medical care, so I'll have to put on my Big Girl pants and deal with it. Thank God for the MCR archives! (BTW, I hope you have a pair of Big Boy pants for these and other trying occasions). We Groovy Yodeling Pirates will (eventually) forgive you if you decide to abandon us in favor of Liz. Liz, however, may not be so understanding if you abandon her in favor of MCR.
To paraphrase Jim, you're having more traumas than the law allows. All these traumas are too much for one poor little Lizzy to bear. This is far too complicated for LVS to deal with, so I think you should check into (literally) the Center for Musical Codependency and Emotional/Psychological Trauma. It's kind of like the Betty Ford Center, only for people with musical obsession issues. Tell your boss that you need the next six months off; I'm sure he'll understand. I might have to join you, as I don't take it well when Jim doesn't host MCR (I NEED my weekly Jim fix!) and I'm trying to cope (one day at a time) with the fact that Jim hasn't released an album in over a year. Some of the other Pirates may want to join us in rehab.
Hope this helps. See you Wed. (unless you abandon us in favor of Liz).
Cali

Lizzy, you must listen to Cali! I don't know about other Canadians but I deal with Emotional and Psychological Trauma in one of 2 ways. One way is to take my gardening trowel into my garden and (making sure nobody is looking of course) I get down on my knees and just stab the fudgesicles out of the weeds! The 2nd way (and is the hardest for me as it means walking UP about 6 blocks) going into the woods and just screaming my head off and stomping my feet. However, I do think Cali's idea of checking in to the CMCEPT is exceptional. Specially if other Pirates wish to join us.
I am not exactly sure if we'd get kicked out of CMCEPT knowing how us Pirates get when 2 or more of us get together. It may be a case of the "patients" taking over the facility. And if we let lighters and Roy Orbison and Jim L take over, well, I just really can't say what would happen.
Hope this helps, Lizzy. I, like Cali, hope as well that you have a pair of Big Boy pants for Lizzy. While the MCR archives aren't quite as much fun cause you can't join in on the chat, at least you can still watch the show! And remember, no matter what decision you make, Lizzy, we all still love you :0

Thank You! Cali & Nelson! Breathing into a paper bag did calm me down a little! I do need 6 months off work Uncle Art will Pay my rent! Its too hot in LA for pants I will put on my Big Boy Bermuda shorts! I dont have any gardening tool but the Idea of Screaming at my landlord will help! I do think the CMCEPT is a good idea for us! Do you think we could get a group discount at the CMCEPT? There is one more crisis I may face I am hoping my (Mick Fleetwood & Fleetwood Mac Fear of Driving Emotional and Psychological Trauma)(MFFMFDEPT) does not resurface the day I need to drive to CMCEPT!
See You Wednesday Night! Lizzy

Some of us were wondering about the title of a lovely song played by Jake Shimabukuro on tonight's show. Here it is (the photography isn't good, but the sound is), from a previous, non-MCR show in Franklin, TN: Jake Shimabukuro ~ "Ichigo Ichie" www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLLuzRop448

At times it reminds me of Joemy Wilson's exquisite hammered dulcimer work on the songs of Turlough O'Carolan. It looks like "Ichigo Ichie" will be on Jake's upcoming album, "Travels", expected to be out on Oct. 9.
