This show and line up is dedicated to the Americana Music Association!  Featuring: Chris Smither Ruthie Foster The Duhks Br5-49 I am waiting impatiently for this show!  Right now I am excited most to see Br5-49 perform. That is because our clogging group performs to one of their songs in our Appalachian clogging shows ! And it is really fun!!! Here is a vid of Br5-49 doing the song. LOVE LOVE LOVE the clawhammer banjo in this song!!! I've got to learn this one. Poison Br5-49

Awesome clogging, Clogger! (Are you in there too, Moose?) Great song, too. Our group going to Nashville for Americana week, which will include our fellow MCR chatters Cathy and Doug (and we hope to hook up with DianaLinn) hope to make it to the MCR show. I love ALL the acts! There are a LOT of our favorites playing elsewhere on Thursday too though, at various venues around Nashville, so it will be a challenge to come up with a schedule that allows us to see as many as possible. We may have to split up. I'll let y'all know, via the forum, if we'll be there so you can look for us in the audience! :-)
REMEMBER: The MCR show is on THURSDAY night next week, not WEDNESDAY, because the Americana Awards Show at the Ryman is on Wednesday and Jim L. will be hosting it again. I just saw today that the Awards Show will be webcast by Folk Alley so I do highly recommend y'all tune in to that on Wed night at 7pm!

Since we just realized last night that the show is being streamed on Thursday instead of the usual Wednesday........just wanted to let everyone know that Clogger and I wont be there to start. It is possible that we might make it back in time to see the last bit...but not for sure. We have show prep for TWO shows we are doing on Saturday. It is good to have shows on the schedule.......we like that......but sad to miss MCR. But cloggers have got to do what cloggers have to do, ha ha ha!

Clogger and I are usually at our group's clogging practice on Thursday nights. Last Thursday, however, we were scheduled to perform at a large hot rod car show instead of practice. We perform at this show twice a year. Anyhow, the weather turned bad, got cold and rainy so the directors called us and rescheduled us to this Thursday. This is great because this venue is closer to home for Clogger and I. And the show starts earlier than our clogging practice would........plus the show is not as long as practice...therefore...if you do the math....we should be home in time to see at least part of the show. We are thrilled yet hoping we make it in time for BR5-49's set. So .....Hope to see you there!
Save us a seat!!!!
