I know that technically this is not an MCR show, but as I understand it, MCR will be helping, in some way, to stream the IBMA awards show this coming Thursday. Just wondering if anyone here is planning to stream this also? In the past I found it by going to ibma.org home page and finding the stream link there. Clogger and I have clogging practice so we may not be able to catch it at the beginning. We'll join in as soon as we can.
Sometimes there are some neat things to be seen at this webcast such as last years moving tribute to Earl Scruggs. Goosebumps Factor there!!!

I watched it last year too - I was thinking it was on TV but maybe it was online instead. The Earl Scruggs tribute was the highlight for me, all those banjo players, haha! I'd like to catch it again, but have other plans for the night. I might catch the beginning though...

Yes, it was online, I am sure since I don't watch TV. I was pretty sure that the link was on the IBMA page, however I am not finding it this year. We plan to be streaming it when we find it.
If I remember, there was quite a bit of talk about not letting the IBMAs get too commercialized so they were very hesitant to out it on regular TV. I know that BLuegrass Junction on Satellite radio will stream it too.
well, if it is streamed and there is a chat, we'll be signed in. Last year at the link we watched nobody chatted! It was soooo quiet in the chat!

I found this story about streaming the IBMA show tomorrow night starting at 7:30 ET IBMA 2013 AwardsAccording to the article, MCR is doing the stream so I wonder if it should be on their livestream link? Seems like I had to go somewhere else last year. |

Was glad to see the show. But my goodness! The chat was crazy! I felt bad for the moderators.....not sure if they were even used to doing the moderator-thing.
As for the awards...so many good performers were nominated for awards. I found myself torn since I pretty much liked them all....so whoever won..well,...it was all good.
Tony Rice's speech was great. I do so hope that MCR will post that one. If they don't, I am sure someone had their Iphone out and will get it up.
What did you guys & gals think about the show?
