I was on Pinterest the other day and found a pic of George Clooney with a ukulele. I wondered if he actually plays uke; after all, his aunt Rosemary was a singer, so perhaps a little musical talent rubbed off on George. Here's what I found: www.thedailybeast.com/videos/2012/01/26/newsweek-ipad-app-exclusive-video.htmlHmm, I'm thinking that George is NOT a ukulele player after all. I've been playing for about six weeks and didn't feel like I'd learned much, until I saw this video, that is. I think I could teach George a thing or two (and no more) about playing the uke. Hey George, see if Eddie Vedder will give you some lessons! Eddie Vedder playing "Without You" on "The David Letterman Show" www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUsa77MfVpICali

Well......I'd say George sure has mastered the technique of string muting! ha ha. but you know....even on my banjo journey, (that is what we banjo player call learning and playing the banjo...it's a "journey". You always have room to grow!) anyhow, even on my banjo journey, I oftentimes feel like I am not progressing. but someone told me to record or video myself once in a while and then look back and compare yourself. I did record myself, but it's been a while. But when I look back, I can actually see the progression I've made.....but ummmm day-to-day..I often feel I am not making much advance in my skill. You might try it sometimes. So glad you decided to take the plunge and enter the world of "musican" with us! It's beautiful here, isn't it?
