Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be stuck on an uninhabited island in the middle of a great ocean? I think it would really reek, unless I could bring along some CDs and a stereo system. But what if I could only fit twenty or so CDs in the life raft along with the stereo equipment and power generator (this is starting to get a little complicated). Which CDs would I absolutely have to have to tide me over and save my sanity until help arrived, assuming it ever did? After watching this video a few minutes ago, I decided that "Meet the Beatles" and "The Beatles' Second Album" would have to be on the list. The Beatles - Ed Sullivan Show (1965) (All 3 shows) www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqrauzHPpwEWhat do you think? What Desert Island Discs would you HAVE to have? Cali

Lizzy, I shouldn't be surprised -- Free Bird!! I'd bet my life that you've gotta have a Thin Lizzy album on your Desert Island Discs list.

Hmm. Triumph albums... probably Thunder Seven and Never Surrender. Then I'd need a couple of Styx albums... like Brave New World, Cyclorama. Hi Infidelity by REO Speedwagon... And Shooting Star's Anthology. And I know there's more I can't think of... OH yes I would need an album from Mike Farris and the sisters!

Oh, this is always a fun topic! And my list changes every time I put it together! So, right now -- let's see, assuming I already food, wine and coffee on the island, and the stereo set up, the discs would have to include the following artists (in no particular order):
U2 Moody Blues Styx Cherryholmes Chris Botti Santana Alan Parsons Louis Armstrong Doc Watson/Merle Watson Jimmy Buffet ! LOL!

LOL! Mosaic, what a diverse list -- cool! I know what you mean about an ever-changing list. My top half dozen choices are pretty much carved in stone, but after that it all depends on what's on my current musical radar. For instance, this week I'd have to have a Faron Young album. Next week, who knows? Thank you for posting and I hope we'll hear more from you! Cali

Okay. are we assuming that some sort of solar equipment in already in place for powering up our music? Of course I'd have to bring my banjo and fiddle! I'd go crazy if I couldn't create my own music too! And LOTS of extra strings. But mostly, I'd especially need my banjo. Cali...you'd need your uke..what is an island without a uke?

You're right, Moose, 'Little Sadie' would absolutely have to come along to the island. And probably my accordion, too. Cali
