Some of the artists MCR has "introduced" to the general public that took off include The Vespers, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, David Jacobs-Strain, Pokey LaFarge and more. Check out their early sets in the archives. Tell MCR who YOU discovered on the show.

There have been so many great acts discovered on MCR's stage that I cannot list them all right here! However, the most memorable for me would be: 1. Pete Huttlinger (I love fingerstyle guitar and Pete blew me away!) 2. Mike Farris and especially when he is at MCR with the McCrary Sisters 3. Elephant Revival. Very interesting group. 4. Taylor Brashears 5.Derek St Homes 6.Gretchen Peters 7.WB Givens 8.Barry Waldrep 9. Boxcars ( I knew a little bit about them before I saw them on your stage) 10. Spirit Family Reunion And many many many more! (And did I mention Pete Huttlinger? Moose

Moose, I love Gretchen Peters..
Let's see Magnolia Sons really rocked me. Great to see the new generation playing "my" music!
The Cleverlys have a great take on today's music... Guthrie Trapp, great picker...
Really too many to mention. Some of my favorites Jim Lauderdale, Jimmy Webb, Natasha Borzilova, the list goes on...

Art; Gretchen's lyric writing is what really got my attention! She can really craft a song!

St. Paul and the Broken Bones are my latest new artist find on MCR. I saw all three of their sets at Bristol. The crowd grew in size and frenzy each night. AJ told me that their performance on MCR was one of their first gigs. I thought that they had been playing the fraternity circuit in Montgomery and Tuscaloosa for several years.I am pleased to announce that they will probably be on the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival spring schedule.
