Nice interview. And you can really see a lot more of that slot head guitar that he always plays. You know, I always wonder if there is a story behind that guitar. It sure looks like it has seen better days but still sound great. But I still couldn't see enough footage to see what model/brand guitar he is playing!

Moose, I heard/read somewhere that Jim's guitar, which he calls 'Old Cocoa', is a 1994 Collings. Cocoa has such a warm, rich tone and I was so glad that he brought Cocoa with him to Portland. I asked Jim if 'Cocoa' was spelled with an "A" on the end ('Cocoa' versus 'Coco') and he confirmed that it was. I told him that I wasn't surprised that the name was food-related, as I have seen him with all those biscuits and drumsticks on MCR. That made him smile. Cali

I love to learn what artists are playing and the stories behind the instruments that they love. I find that stuff interesting. So, did you actually get to talk to him? Did he do a sort of Meet & Greet?

I wrote a full report of his show and you can find it here: mcrfans.freeforums.net/thread/107/jim-portlandCali
